Cairo, Nov 17 (NationPress) Olympian Gurpreet Singh narrowly missed out on the title of world champion in the men's 25m Center Fire Pistol event, ultimately securing a silver medal after a close contest with Ukraine’s Pavlo Korostylov at the Olympic Shooting Range. This achievement marks his second individual medal in the ISSF World Championship 2025, following a silver in the 25m Standard Pistol event at Changwon in 2018, while Yann Pierre Louis Fridrici from France took home the bronze.

India concluded their campaign in the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Championship in third place, amassing a total of 13 medals: three gold, six silver, and four bronze. They finished behind China, which dominated the table with 12 gold, seven silver, and two bronze, and South Korea, which secured seven gold, three silver, and four bronze to claim the second spot.
