Gurugram, April 15 (NationPress) In a significant development for 1,000 industrial units operating in the Kadipur, Basai, and Daulatabad industrial zones, efforts have commenced to regularise these three industrial areas in Gurugram, as confirmed by an official.

The official stated that industry organisations from these areas have engaged architects to draft the area maps.

“A comprehensive report will be generated by these architects, which will subsequently be submitted to the government for necessary approvals. Once these units receive government endorsement, industry owners will need to submit applications through the portal,” he mentioned.

He added that, in addition to essential facilities, this move would facilitate easier access to bank loans, noting that a survey of the state’s irregular industrial areas was conducted in 2019.

The official explained that it was determined at that time that areas hosting up to 70 percent of operating industries would be considered for regularisation.

“The state government has provided substantial relief to unauthorised industrial zones based on the findings of this survey. For a long-term resolution of the irregular industrial areas, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has instructed the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) officials to devise a comprehensive proposal,” he mentioned.

The official highlighted that to actualise the announcement made by the Chief Minister in the budget for the fiscal year 2025-26, the Chief Coordinator of Industries, Sunil Sharma, has been tasked with this responsibility.

“The state government aims to regularise unauthorised industrial areas similarly to irregular colonies. Until these unauthorised industrial colonies are formalised, all units in these zones will be regarded as legitimate industrial units and will receive facilities from all departments,” stated a senior HSIIDC official.

He noted that according to the criteria for regularising industrial areas, a minimum of 50 industrial units must exist in the unauthorised area, with a minimum land area of 10 acres.

“The authority to renew factory maps and licenses for industries on plots up to five acres will now be granted to the Additional Deputy Commissioners at the district level. This will alleviate numerous challenges faced by entrepreneurs,” he added.

Meanwhile, Kadipur Industrial Association President Shripal Sharma expressed that architects have been engaged to draft the area maps.

“A detailed report will be compiled regarding the extent of industrial operations, the number of companies, and other relevant information, which will be forwarded to the government. This will facilitate the regularisation of irregular industrial areas. This demand from small-scale industry organisations has persisted for a considerable time,” Sharma stated.

Daulatabad Industrial Association President Pawan Jindal remarked that upon regularisation, fundamental facilities would become accessible in industrial zones.

“From map approvals to fire NOCs, everything will be readily available. Currently, small-scale industries are struggling with banks. We anticipate that the government will ensure all industrialists benefit from this initiative,” he mentioned.
