Hyderabad, Oct 25 (NationPress) Director Hanu Raghavapudi has revealed that the inclusion of Sanskrit Shlokas during the title announcement of 'Fauzi', starring actor Prabhas, was a deliberate choice to enhance the significance and depth of the warrior narrative.
For those who may not know, the title of Hanu Raghavapudi's forthcoming historical action film featuring actor Prabhas was unveiled as 'Fauzi' on Thursday, accompanied by the recitation of Sanskrit Shlokas.
Speaking about this decision, director Hanu Raghavapudi explained, “We purposely chose to incorporate Sanskrit Shlokas as they lend a profound sense of gravity and meaning to our warrior story. It is important to note, however, that this is not a mythological film. We have drawn philosophical inspiration from the Bhagavad Gita. 'Fauzi' is a compelling patriotic drama that delves into human emotions and socio-political dynamics during the British era, many of which still resonate in today's world.”
Hanu Raghavapudi, recognized for his visually stunning storytelling in films like 'Sita Ramam', is crafting 'Fauzi' to be a grand cinematic experience that highlights the protagonist's courage and internal struggles. Prabhas, known for taking on a variety of roles, is set to portray a complex character caught between duty, emotion, and ideology.
'Fauzi' marks Prabhas's return to an epic period drama following 'Baahubali', promising viewers an emotional and visually spectacular cinematic journey. The film is anticipated to hit theaters in multiple languages by next year.
This film, set in the 1940s and initially referred to as #PrabhasHanu, will be a fictional historical narrative featuring actress Imanvi as the female lead.
In addition to Prabhas and Imanvi, the cast includes veteran actors Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Bhanu Chander, and Jayapradha in significant roles.
The film's music is composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, a preferred collaborator of director Hanu Raghavapudi. Notably, Vishal also composed the music for Hanu's previous hit, 'Sita Ramam', featuring Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur.
Cinematography will be handled by Sudeep Chatterjee, with lyrics penned by Krishna Kanth. The historical film's costume design is by Sheetal Sharma, generating significant excitement among fans and cinema enthusiasts.
