Chandigarh, Dec 22 (NationPress) Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini addressed the Assembly on Monday, asserting that the citizens of the state have established the government with a significant mandate.
“Given this evident public trust, the Opposition's efforts to propagate the notion of Vote Chor is nothing but blatant misinformation, which also diminishes the people's decision,” he stated.
The Chief Minister pointed out that when the Assembly election results were announced on October 8, 2024, the Opposition raised no objections, and the atmosphere seemed to be normal.
“However, as time went on, the Opposition abruptly started making accusations of vote theft. They not only sought to extend this narrative beyond Haryana but also aimed to disseminate it across various regions of the nation,” he elaborated.
He noted that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has specifically mentioned Haryana while alleging vote theft. Such grave accusations, he emphasized, warrant a responsible and evidence-based dialogue within the Assembly, as the people of Haryana deserve clarity.
The Chief Minister made it clear that the intended discussion is neither against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) nor the Election Commission of India.
“However, if the Opposition believes any irregularities have occurred, it should be openly discussed. Any constructive suggestions from the Opposition for improvements can also be presented,” he added.
He further mentioned that the proposal put forth by member Ram Kumar Kashyap should be discussed in the Assembly to ensure the citizens of Haryana receive complete and transparent information on the matter.
“As the Opposition has been continuously raising this unfounded issue, a comprehensive discussion would help clarify the facts for everyone,” the Chief Minister concluded.
