Mumbai, March 25 (NationPress) Social media influencer Hindustani Bhau has taken a significant step by filing a writ petition against renowned choreographer and director Farah Khan.
The petition addresses his grievance regarding her alleged disrespect towards Indian culture, where she referred to Holi as a festival primarily celebrated by hooligans.
Hindustani Bhau accused Farah of labeling Holi as the “Festival of Chhapris” during an episode of the cooking reality series ‘Laughter Chefs’.
In a media interaction on Saturday, he expressed, “Today, in a reality show, it has been stated that Holi is the festival of Chhapri people. Is this how you perceive it? You, who have been part of the film industry and reality shows, should know better. Holi is celebrated by everyone from our Prime Minister Modi ji to countless sadhus and saints, and by over 100 crore people in India. Are you calling all these individuals Chhapri?”
He further elaborated, “Are you belittling Sanatan Dharma? This behavior is not new for individuals in Bollywood. From the inception of the industry, they have consistently insulted our Sanatan Dharma, our deities, and our beliefs. Their films often depict our Hindu values in a derogatory manner.”
“They portray it as something shameful, and due to their power and wealth, no one dares to challenge them. But now, I, Hindustani Bhau, will respond legally and firmly. I have submitted a complaint at Khar Police Station for immediate prosecution and punishment,” he concluded.
