New Delhi, March 22 (NationPress) Hockey India has announced a core probable group of 65 members for the upcoming senior women's national coaching camp, set to begin at SAI, Bengaluru this Sunday.
This selection is based on their recent performances during the 15th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship held in Panchkula, where Hockey Jharkhand claimed victory by defeating Hockey Haryana in a nail-biting shootout.
Among the selected, 30 players have been retained from the current core group, while others have been invited from Assam Hockey, Hockey Chandigarh, Hockey Himachal, SAI, Hockey Bengal, UP Hockey, Hockey Jharkhand, Hockey Karnataka, Manipur Hockey, Hockey Punjab, Kerala Hockey, MP Hockey, CRPF, Odisha, CBDT, Hockey Mizoram, Hockey Maharashtra, and Hockey AP.
The chief coach of the Indian women's team, Harendra Singh, attended the championship to identify promising talent. He remarked, "We witnessed several exceptionally skilled players during the national championships earlier this month, and those selected have been recognized for their performance with their respective state teams. This camp of 65 players will help us gauge their readiness for the next stage in their careers."

From March 31 to April 19, a group of 40 players will participate in preparations for the next international tournament. However, from April 23 to 30, we will closely observe the larger group of 65, and based on their performance, the final list of 40 will be confirmed."
