Shimla, May 22 (NationPress) Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Thursday expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for unveiling the redeveloped Baijnath Paprola railway station in the state as part of the Amrit Bharat Station initiative.
He extended his thanks on behalf of the state's residents, emphasizing that the revitalization of railway stations in Himachal Pradesh will significantly enhance tourism and create job opportunities.
The Governor participated virtually in the nationwide inauguration event from Karsog in the Mandi district, where the Prime Minister inaugurated 103 redeveloped railway stations across India under the Amrit Station project, starting from Bikaner in Rajasthan.
Governor Shukla pointed out that India has experienced remarkable advancements in railway infrastructure in recent years.
The Union government is dedicated to the expansion and modernization of railway facilities.
He noted that projects worth ₹17,714 crore are currently in progress in Himachal Pradesh.

PM Modi offered prayers at this renowned temple. During the event, he inaugurated 103 Amrit Stations across the nation and laid the foundation for numerous development projects totaling ₹26,000 crore. These initiatives include 1,000 km of electrified railway tracks, seven major road projects, three vehicle underpasses, a PowerGrid transmission project, and 900 km of national highways within Rajasthan.
