Did the IAF Achieve Success in Strikes Against Pakistan Under 'Operation Sindoor'?

New Delhi, May 11 (NationPress) In a pivotal joint press conference held by defense officials on Sunday, Air Marshal AK Bharti announced that the Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully thwarted Pakistani attempts to violate Indian airspace following India's decisive cross-border counter-terror operations initiated under 'Operation Sindoor'.

The extensive military operation, which commenced on May 7, was a direct response to a heinous Pakistan-backed terrorist assault in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, resulting in 26 fatalities. The swift and coordinated response from the Indian military stands as one of the most significant military actions in recent times.

During his address to the media, Air Marshal Bharti remarked: "Their aircraft were barred from entering our territory... undoubtedly, we have inflicted losses on their side." He confirmed that India executed a series of impactful airstrikes targeting essential Pakistani military infrastructure. "A strategy was devised to strike at locations that would cause significant damage, and in a rapid, coordinated, and measured attack, we targeted air bases, command centers, military facilities, and air defense across the entire Western front."

The IAF's precise offensive targeted several critical locations in Pakistan, including airbases at Chakala (Nur Khan), Rafiqi, Rahim Yar Khan, Sargodha, Bholari, and Jacobabad. Additionally, air defense radars at Pasrur, Chunian, and Arifwala were also compromised in the precise strikes executed by Indian forces.

Providing reassurance to the public, Air Marshal Bharti stated: "All our pilots have returned safely." He further confirmed that the strategic goals of the operation were met, asserting, "Did we successfully dismantle the terrorist camps? The answer is a resounding yes, and the outcomes are evident for the world to observe."

During the press conference, officials displayed detailed video footage showcasing the effects of Indian air operations, emphasizing the damage inflicted on Pakistan's vital military installations.

In retaliation to India's counteraction following the Pahalgam tragedy, Pakistan launched a series of drone and missile incursions.

However, these attempts were effectively neutralized by India's air defense systems.

Operation Sindoor is perceived as a robust counter-response by the Indian Armed Forces, sending a clear message of deterrence. As Air Marshal Bharti emphasized, "We have successfully achieved our chosen objectives."
