Mumbai, Dec 12 (NationPress) Iltija Mufti, the daughter of former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, expressed her views on the newly launched film ‘Dhurandhar’ via her social media platforms. In a post on X (previously Twitter), Iltija described the film as “quite good” and commended it for “depicting women without relegating them to mere props.” She also highlighted the casting, labeling it as “perfect.”

In her social media update, Iltija Mufti commented, “There’s been significant outrage over Dhurandhar, but I genuinely enjoyed the film & found it engaging. The casting is particularly flawless. For a change, women, unlike in most violent Bollywood features, were not reduced to props. Very well made.” For those unaware, since its debut, Dhurandhar has ignited discussions online, splitting opinions.

While one group of viewers has criticized the movie, alleging it promotes propaganda and misrepresents facts, another faction has praised it for its honest portrayal of real-life events and tragedies, as well as its examination of the ramifications of terrorism on the nation and beyond. Dhurandhar, which premiered across the country on December 5, is directed by Aditya Dhar, known for his impactful sociopolitical narratives.

Featuring Ranveer Singh in the leading role, the film includes notable performances by Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan. A particular sequence showcasing Akshaye Khanna’s entrance dance has gone viral on the internet.

The film has received acclaim from numerous Bollywood stars. Celebrities such as Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Vicky Kaushal, Allu Arjun, and Rohit Shetty have publicly praised the film and the performances of the cast.
