Paris, Nov 26 (NationPress) The Indian Air Force and the French Air and Space Force personnel have been collaborating effectively, performing diverse mission profiles and demonstrating exceptional skills during the bilateral Exercise Garuda 25.

According to a statement shared on X, the Indian Air Force remarked on Wednesday that the professionalism, precision, and cohesive teamwork are vital in enhancing interoperability and solidifying the strength of this bilateral relationship.

"Exercise Garuda 25: With a focus on maintaining a high operational tempo, both the Indian Air Force and the French Air and Space Force are seamlessly executing various mission profiles while showcasing remarkable proficiency. The professionalism, precision, and cohesive teamwork continue to deepen interoperability and reinforce the strength of this bilateral partnership," stated the Indian Air Force on X.

On November 17, the Indian Air Force's Su-30MKI fighter jets and the French Air and Space Force's Rafale aircraft took to the skies, initiating coordinated missions as part of the bilateral air Exercise Garuda.

The Indian Air Force is engaged in the 8th installment of the bilateral air exercise 'Garuda 25' with the French Air and Space Force (FASF) at Mont-de-Marsan in France from November 16-27.

The Indian Air Force mentioned that this exercise aims to further enhance interoperability, promote the exchange of best practices, and strengthen defense cooperation between the two Air Forces.

The IAF contingent is participating in the exercise using Su-30MKI fighter aircraft. The Ministry of Defence stated, "The airlift operations are being supported by the C-17 Globemaster III for the induction and de-induction phases, while the IL-78 air-to-air refueling tankers are utilized to extend the range and endurance of the participating fighters."

Throughout the exercise, the IAF's Su-30MKI aircraft will engage alongside the French multirole fighters in complex simulated air combat scenarios, concentrating on air-to-air combat, air defense, and joint strike operations.

"This exercise aims to refine tactics and procedures within a realistic operational environment, enabling mutual learning and fostering interoperability between the IAF and the FASF. Exercise Garuda 25 also facilitates professional interactions, the exchange of operational knowledge, and the sharing of best practices between both Air Forces," the statement emphasized.

"Participation in this exercise highlights the IAF's commitment to engage constructively with friendly foreign Air Forces through multilateral exercises, promoting mutual understanding and cooperation in air operations," it concluded.
