New Delhi, Dec 3 (NationPress) Congress General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal asserted on Wednesday that the INDIA bloc in Jharkhand remains solid and united, refuting claims of politically motivated rumors suggesting discord within the ruling coalition. His statements followed a phone call with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
In a post on X, Venugopal emphasized that there should be no uncertainty about the alliance's stability in the state.
"Let there be no uncertainty -- our INDIA alliance in Jharkhand is solid, united, and entirely devoted to promoting welfare policies that mirror the aspirations of every citizen in Jharkhand," the senior Congress leader wrote on X.
He also condemned what he described as a malicious narrative and organized rumor dissemination by right-wing factions, labeling it an attempt to sow confusion regarding Jharkhand's political environment.
"The malicious narrative and organized rumor campaigns orchestrated by right-wing troll networks are merely indications of their escalating desperation and political instability. We remain unaffected by such petty trolling, which will never undermine the trust the people have in us," Venugopal stated.
He highlighted that the alliance partners are united with a distinct purpose. "Our unity is unbroken, our purpose is evident, and our alliance is more robust than ever," he expressed.
The INDIA bloc, which includes the JMM, Congress, and RJD, governs Jharkhand under the leadership of Hemant Soren.
Venugopal's comments were intended to counteract ongoing speculation on social media about supposed rifts within the coalition.
His statements also emphasize the Congress leadership's commitment to publicly affirming the alliance's stability ahead of the upcoming political agenda in the state.
Political analysts suggest that the JMM and Congress have consistently maintained coordination on critical issues in Jharkhand, and Venugopal's message serves to indicate continuity in that partnership.
Although CM Hemant Soren has not released a separate statement following the conversation, Venugopal's post is regarded as the official position of the grand old party on this issue.
The INDIA alliance in Jharkhand has held power since 2019, and Venugopal’s remarks reinforce the coalition’s stance that social media conjecture has no impact on the functioning of the state government or the relationships between its partners.
