Patna, May 15 (NationPress) The founder of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) and former Bihar Minister, Mukesh Sahani, asserted on Thursday that India must reject any form of US mediation concerning the escalating tensions with Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack.
Sahani criticized US President Donald Trump for his recent statements regarding the situation between India and Pakistan, labeling them as an unprecedented and disrespectful intrusion.
"This kind of statement from a US President has never been seen before. It undermines India's sovereignty. The Prime Minister needs to address this. If India takes a stand, Pakistan could not withstand for even two hours," he expressed during a media interaction in Khagaria.
He also condemned the BJP for taking credit regarding Operation Sindoor, stating, "The BJP tends to use tragic events for their electoral gain and politicizes every matter, including aspects of national security."
In the wake of these events, the BJP has commenced the Tiranga Yatra across the nation to honor the valor of the Indian armed forces involved in Operation Sindoor.
Specifically, the Indian Air Force successfully targeted nine terrorist hideouts located in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir.
The military action, executed in the early hours of May 7, focused on terrorist strongholds in areas such as Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sarjal, Hed Marala, Barnala, Kotli, Bilal, and Muzaffarabad in Pakistan and PoK, known for harboring terrorists involved in the recent Pahalgam attack.
On May 10, US President Trump tweeted, "After a long night of discussions facilitated by the US, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have concurred on a complete and immediate ceasefire. Congratulations to both nations for exercising wisdom and intelligence. Thank you for your focus on this matter."
Additionally, Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha, President of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha, reaffirmed India's stance on Kashmir.
"India's position is unequivocal. We reject any third-party mediation regarding Kashmir. Our approach to terrorism remains one of zero tolerance," he stated.
Kushwaha also commented on the BJP and Congress's announcement of nationwide Tiranga Yatras, saying, "It's commendable to honor the Indian Army and soldiers through such initiatives. However, Congress should avoid politicizing this event."
