Doha, Feb 28 (NationPress) In light of rising tensions in the area, the Embassy of India in Doha has released a significant advisory urging all Indian citizens in Qatar to exercise caution and keep up with updates from the Embassy and local authorities.

"Given the prevailing regional circumstances, all Indian nationals in Qatar are strongly encouraged to take proper precautions, stay informed through the news, and heed advisories issued by both the Embassy and local authorities. The Embassy continues to operate normally," the advisory stated.

Furthermore, everyone is advised to adhere to the emergency alerts from local authorities, which recommend maintaining a safe distance from military sites and remaining indoors, whether at home or elsewhere, to avoid any potential risks unless absolutely necessary.

The Indian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has also issued an urgent notice concerning the current regional climate, advising all Indian nationals in the UAE to refrain from unnecessary travel, remain vigilant, and observe safety protocols and advisories from the UAE authorities and the Embassy.

According to the advisory, "The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai are functioning normally and will provide updates as needed," while also encouraging Indian nationals in the UAE to reach out via toll-free and WhatsApp numbers in case of emergencies.

Earlier, the Embassy of India in Tehran had recommended that Indian nationals in Iran exercise extreme caution, limit movements, and stay indoors as much as possible due to the evolving situation.

"Indians are also advised to keep monitoring the news, maintain situational awareness, and await further guidance from the Embassy of India," it mentioned, while providing emergency contact information for the Embassy.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump stated early Saturday that US forces are conducting a "massive and ongoing" operation against Iran aimed at "destroying their missiles and obliterating their missile industry."

"The United States military is executing a significant and ongoing operation ...," he announced in a video message on his social media platform Truth Social. "We will eliminate their missiles and dismantle their missile industry entirely."
