In response, enforcement teams have executed coordinated actions, leading to the filing of approximately 100 cases related to violations of the Model Code of Conduct and other electoral regulations.
Among various districts, Tiruvallur has reported the highest seizure values, closely followed by Chennai, highlighting a concentrated effort in key constituencies where electoral competition is fierce.
On the preparation front, officials disclosed that over 95 percent of voter information slips have been successfully distributed across the state. Efforts are ongoing to fill identified gaps in specific regions, with directives issued to ensure nearly complete coverage before the polling day.
Of the total 234 Assembly constituencies, 105 have been identified as sensitive in terms of expenditure, necessitating heightened vigilance.
Additionally, 5,938 polling booths have been marked as critical, with increased security personnel and surveillance measures employed to guarantee smooth and fair voting.
More than two lakh voters, including seniors over 85 years old and individuals with disabilities, have already cast their votes via the postal ballot system, demonstrating efforts to enable inclusive participation.
