Jammu, May 26 (NationPress) J&K Lt Governor (L-G) Manoj Sinha stated on Monday that India must not rely on others for its defence, which is why our scientists have developed indigenous defence mechanisms.
“Our scientists understand that India cannot depend on external forces for its security. We have cultivated our own homegrown capabilities, and our successful operations signify a revitalized India,” he remarked.
He also praised the commendable efforts led by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) along with the National Anveshika Network of India (NANI).
“When science is intricately integrated into society, it not only encourages innovation but also plays a pivotal role in shaping our nation’s direction, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for all,” he mentioned after inaugurating the ‘Physics Bharat Yatra’ in the Udhampur district.
He attributed the achievements of ‘Operation Sindoor’ to India’s self-sufficient defence capabilities, innovations within the defence sector, and advances in technology.
“Operation Sindoor has highlighted India's scientific prowess. It has been proven that our scientists, defence personnel, and soldiers are unparalleled in the global arena. This success is a testament to their commitment and a reflection of our enduring dedication to self-reliance. India’s military strength is indicative of our scientists' resolve to significantly bolster national security while propelling our economy forward,” he asserted.
He further emphasized that the current environment is ripe for groundbreaking innovations, which can greatly elevate India’s standing in scientific and economic domains.
“The synergy of science, spirituality, and cultural values has propelled India’s global prominence. We are strategically investing in scientific and technological growth to position India as a premier scientific power worldwide. Our scientists, innovators, and researchers are committed to restoring our ancient glory and building a developed India by 2047. This is our national aspiration,” he concluded.
He also toured the Physics Exhibition featuring models and experiments created by students.
