Panchkula, Jan 26 (NationPress) Haryana Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh stated on Monday that following Independence, India has carved out its identity as a robust nation on the global platform.
“Our leaders, farmers, laborers, artisans, and scientists have played a crucial role in this success by toiling tirelessly to advance the country,” the Governor remarked, emphasizing that Haryana has been pivotal in the nation's development.
He delivered these remarks during the Republic Day celebrations in Panchkula, located nearby.
The Governor also raised the national flag, reviewed the parade, and acknowledged the march-past.
On this occasion, the Governor’s spouse, Mitra Ghosh, was also in attendance. He extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the residents of the state, recalling that on this day, “our Constitution took effect, granting us fundamental rights of justice, liberty, and equality. On this day, India emerged as the world’s largest independent democratic republic.”
He expressed his respect for the chief architect of the Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and all members of the Constituent Assembly.
This historic day motivates us to fortify our nation and honors the remarkable individuals who contributed to India’s republic status. Pioneers such as Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Lala Lajpat Rai, Sardar Patel, and Dr. Rajendra Prasad made tremendous sacrifices for the nation’s freedom.
The Governor noted that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is advancing swiftly today.
“The nation has successfully undertaken missions like Chandrayaan, Suryayaan, and Mangalyaan.
He expressed pride that the Freedom Struggle Memorial in Ambala, honoring those from Haryana who contributed to the freedom movement, has been finalized.
“Haryana has set new standards in education, health, and sports,” he concluded.
