Ahmedabad, Sep 16 (NationPress) As Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that every infiltrator must exit the country during a public event in Bihar's Purnea, BJP national spokesperson Rohan Gupta publicly supported the Prime Minister’s position, labeling infiltrators as a grave threat to national security.
On Monday, PM Modi directed his remarks towards the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress, cautioning that every infiltrator would need to depart the country.
“Currently, a significant demographic crisis has emerged due to infiltrators in Seemanchal and Eastern India. Citizens of Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, and various other states are apprehensive about the safety of their sisters and daughters,” the Prime Minister stated.
In support of this claim, Rohan Gupta noted, “In Seemanchal, we’ve seen that Aadhar card registrations have surpassed 108% and even reached 110%—clearly indicating more Aadhar cards than individuals. This is a significant warning sign. It’s not merely data manipulation; it poses a direct threat to our internal security. PM Modi has accurately highlighted this issue.”
He continued, “Infiltrators compromise the demographic framework, burden resources, and instigate law-and-order complications. Other state governments and political factions should cease politicizing this matter and endorse this initiative. This pertains to national interest, transcending party affiliations.”
Gupta also addressed the increasing demands for the implementation of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise of the voter list, especially in West Bengal, following Bihar.
“SIR is imperative at this juncture. Throughout India, individuals migrate between states or districts, resulting in many being registered as voters in multiple locations,” Gupta remarked.
“The Opposition is indulging in trivial politics here—rather than confronting double voting, they are raising alarms over alleged vote theft. SIR is not a political maneuver; it’s a national reform.”
On the Supreme Court’s decision not to stay the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2025, the BJP leader stated that the stay served as a reality check for the Opposition.
“The Supreme Court has once again exposed the empty assertions of the Opposition. Initially, they propagated falsehoods that the Waqf Amendment Bill was intended to seize Muslim land or restrict religious freedom. Today, the court clarified that this Waqf Act aligns with the Constitution and cannot be stayed. This is a decisive rebuke for those spreading misinformation,” Gupta stated.
Criticizing RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s five-day Bihar Adhikar Yatra, which commenced from Jehanabad on September 16, Gupta remarked that the more Yadav travels, the more the populace will be reminded of Bihar’s Jungle Raj.
“The more Tejashwi Yadav traverses the state, the more the residents of Bihar will remember the atrocities of Jungle Raj. Bihar has progressed significantly since those times. The people now endorse the development path laid out by the NDA. They have witnessed progress and will not revert,” he added.
The RJD’s Adhikar Yatra follows Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Adhikar Yatra, which covered 110 Assembly constituencies in the upcoming elections in Bihar. Tejashwi’s yatra will conclude in Vaishali district on September 20, aiming to rally support for the INDIA bloc ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections in various states.
