New Delhi, Dec 10 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a ferocious attack on the Congress party in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, during discussions surrounding electoral reforms and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. He accused the Leader of the Opposition (LoP), Rahul Gandhi, of abruptly leaving the House when confronted with historical truths regarding infiltration and the Congress’s past policies.
“What made him flee the House? I was not directing my comments towards him or the Congress party specifically. I was addressing the issue of infiltrators. I referenced the policies of Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi that facilitated infiltration, yet he did not leave then. He departed because the truth about infiltrators struck a nerve. That is precisely what he aims to shield,” Shah asserted amidst resounding applause from NDA members.
The Home Minister cautioned that unchecked infiltration represents a serious threat to India’s demographics and the prospects of future generations.
“We do not wish for our children to experience another partition in this country. This transcends politics; it is a matter of national security,” he emphasized.
Shah then turned to ideology, rebutting the opposition’s consistent criticisms of the RSS.
“Is there a law in this nation that prohibits someone with RSS ideology from holding constitutional positions? The Prime Minister is from the RSS, and so am I. The RSS ideology is about living and sacrificing for the nation, striving to make Bharat more prosperous and robust. When I was a child, I chanted slogans like – 'Indira Gandhi is a murderer,'” he remarked.
HM Shah enumerated several of Congress’s anti-people stances that he claimed led to its electoral downfall, including its opposition to the abrogation of Article 370, the CAA, the abolition of triple talaq, surgical strikes, Ram Mandir construction, and now One Nation One Election and SIR.
“This is the reason for your continuous electoral defeats. Persist in opposing SIR, and you will face obliteration not just in Bihar but also in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu,” he forecasted.
Commending Prime Minister Narendra Modi, HM Shah noted that the public voted in favor of development – free rations, gas connections, tap water, electricity for 60 crore citizens, and world-class infrastructure.
“Janata Janardan is Bhagwan. The public continues to grant Modi victory after victory, and you accuse it of vote theft? Today’s debate has unveiled every one-sided lie Congress has propagated about SIR,” he declared.
As the House echoed with “Jai Shri Krishna” chants from the Treasury benches, Shah concluded, “Whatever decision the public makes is the decision of Shri Krishna himself. And the public is observing everything.”
Following his speech, the House was adjourned for the day.
