The IAEA stated on the social media platform X: "Following an independent assessment of satellite images and understanding of the site, the IAEA has verified that the heavy water production facility at Khondab, which Iran indicated was attacked on March 27, has endured substantial damage and is not functioning at this time."

On March 27, the IAEA received information from Iran regarding the assault on the heavy water production site in Khondab, yet it confirmed that there was no identified radiation risk.
