New Delhi, Sep 24 (NationPress) The inaugural medals of the ISSF Junior World Cup New Delhi 2025 are set to be awarded on Thursday, kicking off with the 50m Rifle Prone event for both men and women at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in India’s capital. The Olympic categories will commence on Friday (September 26), featuring the finals for the 10m Air Pistol. A total of 208 shooters from 18 nations will compete across 18 events, comprising 15 Olympic and three Non-Olympic disciplines, vying for a total of 54 medals.
India is poised to enter the competition with 10 athletes, split evenly between the junior men’s and women’s categories, in the 50m Rifle Prone event, which includes 21 competitors chasing medals.
The Indian squad will be led by Vedant Nitin Waghmare, a bronze medallist from the Asian Championship, alongside Anushka H. Thokur, who secured gold in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions event in Shymkent.
The other participants in the men's division include Rohit Kanyan, Kushagra Singh Rajawat, Deependra Singh Shekhawat, and Kunal Sharma, while the women’s category will see athletes like Nimrat Kaur Brar, Saniya Sapale, Aadhya Agrawal, and Anshika competing.
