Jamshedpur, Feb 13 (NationPress) - With the return of the Indian Super League (ISL) to Jamshedpur after nearly a year, Jamshedpur FC has officially revealed its squad of 28 players for the upcoming season. The team will be under the guidance of shield-winning coach Owen Coyle, who will lead them in hosting nine significant home matches at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

The Men of Steel are set to start their ISL campaign on February 15 at the JRD Stadium against Mohammedan SC, marking a hopeful resurgence for the team. Following their Super Cup journey, they are keen to bounce back and reaffirm the Furnace's status as one of the league's most challenging venues.

This season’s squad boasts a solid blend, including six international players who infuse experience and skill into the promising Indian core. The lineup features a mix of seasoned veterans and emerging young talents, creating a dynamic combination of expertise and youthful vigor.

Retaining most of their core from the Super Cup, the team has welcomed Ravi Kumar as the sole new addition, enhancing the goalkeeping lineup with his experience.

The midfield is particularly formidable, including crucial foreign players Nikola Stojanovic and Madih Talal, alongside Pronay Halder, all anticipated to play pivotal roles. They are supported by Rei Tachikawa and a robust group of Indian midfielders, ensuring a well-equipped engine room for the challenges ahead.

On the defensive end, seasoned players like Pratik Chaudhari, Stephen Eze, and Lazar Cirkovic provide essential stability, while the attacking front features talents like Messi Bouli, Sanan, and Ritwik.

Since resuming his role, Owen Coyle has commended the dedication exhibited by the players. “We’re thrilled with the hard work the squad has put in since our arrival,” Coyle stated. “We took over a squad that was formed prior to the Super Cup, yet the players have displayed remarkable attitude, commitment, and diligence in training. Our objective now is to translate that hard work onto the pitch, beginning with our ISL match on Sunday,” he added.

As the premier league makes its return to the city, with Jamshedpur FC set to host nine home matches in front of enthusiastic crowds, the Men of Steel are geared up for the new challenge ahead.
