Patna, May 10 (NationPress) In response to the rising tensions between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor and the latest cross-border conflicts, the Jan Suraaj Party has declared a temporary halt to all significant political activities until May 15, 2025.

During a press conference in Patna on Saturday, the Party’s National President Manoj Bharti stated, "This moment is not conducive for political maneuvers. Our nation is at a pivotal point, and we stand resolutely with our armed forces. As a responsible political organization, we have chosen to suspend all major public activities for the upcoming five days."

General Secretary Kishore Kumar announced that the planned signature campaign and the Udghosh Yatra, set to initiate from Kalyan Bigha in Nalanda on May 11, have been postponed.

“On May 15, we will evaluate the national situation and determine our next steps accordingly,” he added.

During the briefing, notable leaders of Jan Suraaj, including Kanhaiya Singh, A.K. Dwivedi, Treasurer Arvind Singh, State General Secretary Sarwar Ali, State Secretary Prof. Shantanu, Spokesperson Syed Masih Uddin, and Chandan Kumar, were in attendance.

The Prashant Kishor-led Jan Suraaj Party has been actively mobilizing support in Bihar in preparation for the 2025 Assembly Elections.

Bharti concluded by reaffirming the party's unwavering support for the Indian Army and called for public solidarity, urging citizens to stay united and vigilant during this heightened national security period.

This week, India initiated Operation Sindoor, targeting nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The Indian government has stressed that the strikes were conducted with precision to avoid civilian casualties, while Pakistan has retaliated with drone and missile assaults, including a failed attempt to hit Delhi with the Fatah-2 missile.

Point of View

It is imperative to support the nation during such challenging times. The Jan Suraaj Party's decision reflects a broader commitment to national security over political ambitions. This approach fosters unity and resilience among citizens, reminding us that in moments of crisis, the welfare of our nation must take precedence.
