Patna, Nov 22 (NationPress) The Jan Suraaj Party has officially disbanded all its organisational units from the panchayat to the state level effective immediately, as disclosed by party insiders on Saturday.
The party revealed plans to establish a new organisational framework within the next one-and-a-half months.
According to Jan Suraaj Spokesperson Syed Masihuddin, this resolution was reached during a meeting of the Jan Suraaj National Council held on Saturday at Sheikhpura House in Patna.
In the absence of the party's President Uday Singh, the state's Bihar unit President Manoj Bharti oversaw the meeting.
Jan Suraaj Coordinator Prashant Kishor was also in attendance.
While the committees have been disbanded, the party affirms that they will continue to fulfill their responsibilities until a new organisational structure is in place.
Senior party officials have been tasked with overseeing all 12 administrative divisions of Bihar, focusing on the reorganisation of a robust and functional structure within their respective districts.
This leadership team will also engage in comprehensive consultations to evaluate the reasons behind the party's defeat in the most recent state Assembly election and will compile a detailed report for the party's Central leadership concerning any leaders identified as guilty of indiscipline or sabotage.
Masihuddin also noted that a General Council meeting is scheduled in Patna on December 21, where the top leadership will gather feedback from district-level leaders regarding electoral performance and organisational challenges.
This meeting will also aim to outline a new strategy for the party's future.
The Jan Suraaj participated in the Bihar Assembly elections independently, without forming alliances with any political parties, and did not secure any seats.
Party convener Prashant Kishor has previously indicated that he plans to restart the outreach programme in Bihar to prepare for future elections.
The meeting was attended by several senior party figures, including former Vice Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General S.K. Singh, former Union Minister Ramchandra Prasad Singh, senior advocate Y.V. Giri, and other notable leaders.
