Significant attention was directed toward the effective application of new criminal legislation and the integration of advanced policing methods and technologies such as e-Sakshya, e-Summons, e-FIR, and Zero FIR.
The meeting stressed the necessity of adhering to investigation timelines, especially for cases that must be resolved within 60 and 90 days. Instructions were issued to facilitate prompt forensic science laboratory visits, ensure proper handling of forensic materials, and utilize resources like MedLeaPR to enhance medico-legal processes.
DIG Rizvi commended the District Police Reasi's initiatives, particularly regarding the improvement in the resolution rate of NDPS and other serious offenses. She underscored the importance of timely court process execution and the swift resolution of unresolved cases, particularly those involving grave and sensitive crimes.
There was a directive to heighten random checkpoint inspections to deter criminal activities and other antisocial behaviors.
Officers were urged to operate with the utmost professionalism and commitment to combat the issues of narcotics and drug-related crimes while taking stringent measures against organized crime.
