Ranchi, Nov 28 (NationPress) As the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government marked the completion of one year in its second term on Friday, a grand event took place at Morabadi Ground in Ranchi. During this assembly, the Chief Minister presented appointment letters to 8,792 newly selected candidates spanning various departments.

The new roles encompass positions such as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Superintendent of Prisons, Jharkhand Education Service officials, District and Labour Superintendents, Probation Officers, Inspectors, Dentists, Assistant Professors, Entomologists, and more.

In his address, Soren emphasized the importance of the day, highlighting that it marked both the first anniversary of the 'Abua Sarkar' initiative and the 25-year milestone since the establishment of Jharkhand.

He noted that thousands of young individuals are now being afforded the opportunity to join government service, stating that nearly 9,000 appointment letters were distributed this year alone, contributing to a total of 16,000 government recruitments in 2024.

The Chief Minister revealed that over 8,000 youths secured employment in the private sector this year, while between 2020 and 2024, the state created 24,000-25,000 government jobs and around 28,000 private-sector opportunities.

The significant youth turnout at the event, according to him, showcased the administration’s commitment to a transparent recruitment process and the increasing public confidence in their governance.

'In our 25-year-old state, such a large number of appointments may never have been made in one go,' he remarked.

Soren became emotional while reminiscing about the late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, recognizing him as the guiding force behind the statehood movement.

He criticized the opposition for attempting to disrupt the government's efforts by sowing confusion and creating obstacles in the recruitment process.

'Despite all conspiracies, we continued to provide opportunities to our youth,' he reiterated, emphasizing that the hiring process was entirely transparent, devoid of money or lobbying.

Furthermore, he highlighted a significant representation of women among the new recruits, viewing it as a reflection of the evolving social landscape of the state.

Soren urged the newly appointed officers to collaborate in the development of Jharkhand and inspire youth within their districts. He expressed optimism that the expansion of educational and training institutions will better integrate future generations into the mainstream of development.

Cabinet ministers including Radha Krishna Kishore, Irfan Ansari, Yogendra Prasad, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Sanjay Prasad, Sudivya Kumar Sonu, Deepika Pandey Singh, Hafizul Ansari, Chamra Linda, Deepak Birua, MP Mahua Maji and MLA Kalpana Soren, along with various public representatives, were present at the event.
