J.P. Nadda Begins Two-Day Visit to Jaipur Amid Speculations of Organizational Changes

Jaipur, Dec 26 (NationPress) BJP national president J.P. Nadda is set to land in Jaipur today (Thursday) for a two-day engagement, coinciding with the party's preparations for a potential organizational reshuffle in Rajasthan.
This visit marks Nadda’s first trip to the state following the establishment of the Bhajan Lal Sharma-led BJP administration. His last visit to Jaipur occurred during the assembly election campaign.
Nadda is expected to arrive at Jaipur airport tonight and head straight to a local hotel for the night.
On Friday at 2 p.m., he will convene a meeting with senior BJP officials at the party's state headquarters. Attendees are anticipated to include Rajasthan BJP president Madan Rathore, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Premchand Bairwa, in addition to various cabinet ministers.
As per party sources, this meeting might lead to significant decisions concerning organizational restructuring.
During his stay, Nadda will also participate in two governmental events in Jaipur. These will focus on Patta distribution and healthcare initiatives, taking place at the collectorate and in Durgapura.
Simultaneously, rumors regarding a possible cabinet expansion in Rajasthan have been circulating in political circles. The frequent visits of former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje to Delhi and her meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi have intensified these speculations. Raje’s recent discussions with senior BJP officials in Delhi before returning to Jaipur have further fueled the chatter.
However, party insiders indicate that a cabinet expansion is improbable at this juncture, given the emphasis on organizational restructuring. The BJP-led government, which has just completed its first year in office this month, currently comprises 24 ministers, allowing for six more under the constitutional limit of 15 percent of the 200-member Assembly.
Moreover, the BJP's commendable performance in last month’s by-elections, where the party won five out of seven seats, has intensified discussions surrounding potential reshuffles within the party.
For the moment, the spotlight remains on the organizational reshuffle, with no immediate plans for cabinet expansion, as confirmed by senior BJP leaders to IANS.
