Cancellation of BJP President Nadda's Visit to Jaipur

Jaipur, Dec 26 (NationPress) The planned two-day trip of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President J.P. Nadda to Jaipur, Rajasthan, has been cancelled, according to sources from the party.
Initially, he was expected to arrive in the city on Thursday night. However, he will now remain in Delhi, as confirmed by BJP workers.
There was a significant meeting set for Friday afternoon at the state BJP office in Jaipur, which has also been called off. This gathering was intended to address the party's organizational elections and various political matters concerning Rajasthan.
Interestingly, a day prior to this meeting, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma cancelled a Cabinet meeting that was also scheduled for Thursday.
The State BJP President Madan Rathore verified on Thursday that the visit of BJP President Nadda to Jaipur has been cancelled. He noted that the party had hoped to secure advantages for the state through Nadda's visit, leading to the arrangement of a meeting at the party headquarters on Friday.
Moreover, as the Cabinet meeting originally planned for Thursday was also called off, State Minister Jogaram Patel remarked, "Several significant issues were meant to be addressed in this Cabinet meeting. However, due to certain circumstances, this meeting has been postponed. Topics such as 'One State One Election', district issues, and the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination were on the agenda for discussion in this meeting.
Minister Patel continued, "The sub-committee's report regarding the SI recruitment exam has been submitted to CM Sharma. The Law department has provided its recommendations on this matter. Now, it is up to the Chief Minister to make the final decision concerning the exam, which may be addressed in the upcoming meeting."
In the meantime, there has been rampant speculation regarding a potential Cabinet expansion in Rajasthan. The frequent visits of former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje to Delhi and her meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi have stoked these rumors. Raje's recent discussions with senior BJP figures in Delhi before heading back to Jaipur have only added to the intrigue.
Nevertheless, insiders within the party indicate that a Cabinet expansion is improbable at this moment due to the current focus on organizational restructuring. The BJP-led administration, which marked its first year in office this month, consists of 24 Ministers, providing room for six more under the constitutional limit of 15 percent of the 200-member Assembly.
