Srinagar, June 29 (NationPress) The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, announced on Sunday that the long-awaited moment for families affected by terrorism and its accompanying ecosystem in the union territory has arrived to finally receive justice.

While addressing a significant gathering of terror victims' families in Anantnag, the L-G stated: "The administration of Jammu and Kashmir, along with security forces, has successfully fostered a peaceful environment, allowing victims of the terror ecosystem to express their suffering and achieve the justice they have yearned for. I am here to assure you today that your wait for justice is over. To initiate this process, all victims of terrorism who have not yet received compassionate appointments in government service are urged to submit their applications to the relevant district magistrates within the coming days.

"If any victim's family has not yet secured a compassionate appointment, they will receive one for a family member within the next 30 days. Moreover, if any youth from such families is interested in starting their own business, they can avail financial support under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana without collateral. The administration is prepared to assist them.

The L-G further stated: "If any victim family believes that the individual responsible for their father's or brother's death is still at large and holds a government position, the IGP (Kashmir) is present here today. Those family members should file their applications with the IGP, and if the individual is a government employee, appropriate actions will be taken to ensure they are dismissed. If terrorists or their supporters have occupied your property, we urge you to step forward, and the administration will assist you in reclaiming your rights over such properties."

“I encourage you to come forward and report any grievances against terrorists or their affiliates. I am instructing the IGP to ensure that residents across different districts can file grievances with their respective district magistrates and SSPs. The nation that has adopted terrorism as a state policy fails to provide basic necessities to its citizens, while India continues to thrive.

The L-G also mentioned that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, deserving individuals across the country, including Jammu and Kashmir, are receiving free food and medical care.

"Kashmir has been linked via rail, new roads and highways have been constructed, previously unlit areas are now electrified, and based purely on merit, deserving youth have secured government jobs, while others have found self-employment opportunities.

“The benefits of development are reaching impoverished families, and I have witnessed transformations in families whose fortunes have changed under the Prime Minister's leadership. Our neighboring country supports terrorism while its own people face starvation. Today, Pakistan is regarded as the world's largest beggar nation, while India ranks as the fourth-largest economy. Our youth are excelling academically and professionally, while Pakistan is funneling its youth into terror training camps.

“Following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, our armed forces executed Operation Sindoor, targeting and dismantling nine terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan. When tensions escalated, we targeted 11 military bases in Pakistan. Pakistan has been duly warned that any future acts of terrorism will be regarded as acts of war by India. It is time for you (families of terror victims) to find the courage to come forward and expose those who have disguised themselves as respectable citizens in J&K," stated the Jammu and Kashmir L-G.

The L-G continued, "We have acknowledged and empathized with the pain of families who lost loved ones since 1990, often at the instigation of those against whom even basic police reports were not filed. Grand funerals for terrorists were commonplace, and the terror ecosystem became deeply entrenched in Kashmir.

"Victims of terrorism received no mourners, and even finding burial grounds became a challenge for them. We have heard these accounts from the families we met today. A false narrative was propagated, suggesting that terrorists were victims while police and armed forces were the adversaries. Under the influence of Pakistan and its sponsored terrorists, the cries of victims were stifled, but we have listened to those cries today.

“We have encountered harrowing tales of human suffering today, while others likely have even more painful stories suppressed by the prevailing terror ecosystem. I express my gratitude to the 'Save Youth, Save Future' organization for organizing today's event. This organization has made commendable efforts to connect with terrorism victims from various parts of J&K, ensuring that their truths are shared with the nation and the international community.

Before the L-G's address in Anantnag, where he met families of terror victims since 1990 at the local degree college, members of these families recounted chilling accounts of their tribulations under the influence of terrorism and its ecosystem in Kashmir.
