Mumbai, July 13 (NationPress) Actress Kainaat Arora shared insights regarding a significant piece of advice she received from Sanjay Dutt during the early stages of her career.
In an exclusive interview with IANS, she disclosed that the legendary actor once warned her against pursuing a career in the film industry. Arora reflected on the valuable guidance she has garnered from various co-stars over the years, noting that both Ajith Kumar and Dutt had advised her against entering the industry. Recalling her experience working with Ajith Kumar in Mankatha, she stated, “Ajith told me, ‘Kainaat, you are too simple. You need to be well-prepared because the journey is challenging.’” Sanjay Dutt echoed similar sentiments during her initial career phase.
Kainaat also mentioned that her parents were initially reluctant about her foray into the film world. “However, once they recognized my work, they became more supportive. They consistently encouraged me to embrace roles that are performance-driven and carry meaningful messages,” she revealed.
The 'Grand Masti' actress fondly recounted her experiences working with Akshay Kumar, describing him as “motivating, humorous, and incredibly supportive on set.” She expressed gratitude for the lessons learned from co-stars like Vivek Oberoi, Ritesh Deshmukh, Mohanlal, and Gippy Grewal. “Despite my Punjabi background, Gippy assisted me with diction during our shoot in the US. I’ve silently absorbed so much from these remarkable actors. For instance, Ritesh's spontaneity and improvised one-liners were a treasure trove of learning for me,” she noted.
Reflecting on her journey in the entertainment industry, Kainaat Arora expressed, “It has been a rewarding experience—and it continues. For every artist, the process is what matters. Looking back, I began my journey in a small city in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Transitioning from a small town to a bustling city to carve my niche was no easy feat. I moved to Delhi for studies, enrolling in a merchandising course at NIFT. One day, while crossing the road, I received a modeling offer—something I never anticipated while studying. I lived in a PG hostel, and finances were tight. My father faced business challenges, and loans were looming over us.”
“I took on multiple shifts, earned whatever I could, and sent money home to help with the loan repayments. It filled me with pride that I could assist my parents. To me, that’s true success—doing something impactful for my family,” she added.
Kainaat made her Bollywood debut in the comedy film “Grand Masti” as Marlow. She also featured in the Tamil film “Mankatha” and in Akshay Kumar’s “Khatta Meetha.”
