Bengaluru, July 7 (NationPress) The Karnataka BJP has claimed that a well-orchestrated plot is in motion to provoke communal tensions between two communities within the state. The party asserts that under the Congress administration, anti-national factions are becoming increasingly audacious.
During a press briefing in Shivamogga on Monday, BJP state President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra remarked, “These anti-national elements are gaining strength in Karnataka, especially along the coastal areas. Groups intent on disrupting peace and instigating communal unrest are ensuring that incidents of violence continue to arise.”
“It is unfortunate that the state government is not taking these threats seriously. Whether it involves the murder of Hindu activist Suhas Shetty, the attack on a police station in Mysuru, or violent occurrences during Tipu Jayanti in our Shivamogga district -- disturbances tend to recur during festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi. These disruptive groups feel empowered because they know they have the government’s protection,” he alleged.
“Due to the government’s lack of action, these anti-national elements are becoming more audacious. They believe they will not be held accountable because the government appears to be on their side,” he added.
“We are witnessing a scenario where the fence is eating the crop. In this context, such alarming incidents are happening. The BJP strongly condemns this. The Chief Minister and the Home Minister, who is merely a titleholder, must address this situation,” Vijayendra stated.
Regarding the recent surge of heart attack cases in Hassan district, he commented, “An alarming number of heart attacks are occurring, particularly among younger individuals, resulting in tragic losses. Disturbingly, the district’s in-charge minister has not visited the area in the last three months. This exemplifies a shocking level of irresponsibility. One does not need further proof to see how negligently the Congress-led government is managing the state.”
Shifting focus to the state’s economic status, he stated, “The economy of the state has crumbled. The Chief Minister’s Financial Advisor, Bavaraj Rayareddy, has indicated that if citizens desire roads and other developmental projects, the government will need to cease guarantee schemes.”
“When the BJP highlights that the Congress-led government struggles to pay salaries, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah insists that everything is fine,” Vijayendra remarked.
“But through Rayareddy, the Chief Minister has communicated to the public that funds for development cannot be allocated unless the guarantee schemes are fulfilled first. This administration has plunged the state into a financial crisis.”
“The public is weary of this government and regrets having elected it. That is the harsh truth. The damage inflicted is so severe that no Chief Minister can swiftly rectify Karnataka’s economy,” he concluded.
