Mrunal Hebbalkar, the son of Minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, reassured, "My mother is safe. The accident occurred around 5 a.m. while returning from Bengaluru. The driver swerved to avoid a dog, resulting in a collision with a truck, and the vehicle then hit a tree on the service road."

"She was returning from a Congress Legislature Party Meeting in Bengaluru to Belagavi. While my mother has back injuries, my uncle, MLC Hattiholi, also traveling with her, has injuries around his ear and head. He is on the mend as well," Mrunal elaborated.

Mrunal expressed that he spoke with his mother and believes, with the support of the constituents and the state, she had a fortunate escape from the accident.

"Since my mother incurred back injuries, she will require further treatment in the hospital. I urge the residents of her constituency to know that she will recover and return home shortly," he added.
