Chennai, Sep 30 (NationPress) A delegation from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), headed by BJP MP and actress Hema Malini, traveled to Karur on Tuesday to investigate the tragic stampede that resulted in 41 fatalities during the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay's campaign rally on September 27.
The team engaged with the families of victims and those injured before addressing the press.
Hema Malini, deeply affected by the scene, remarked that the disaster could have been averted if the authorities had allocated a more spacious venue for Vijay's event.
