Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 23 (NationPress) During the 55th annual gathering of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeeve made a compelling case for advancing development objectives in a sustainable and inclusive manner.

In a joint media briefing with the Union Minister, state Chief Ministers, and ministers from various Indian states attending the WEF, Rajeeve highlighted that the state government’s strategic policy initiatives have propelled Kerala’s industrial ecosystem onto a path of high growth.

The Minister emphasized that Kerala’s industrial promotion model is centered around responsible and inclusive practices, noting that the motto of the Invest Kerala Pavilion at WEF is ‘we are changing the nature of business’.

“The progress that Kerala has achieved in recent years is evident in various economic activities, ranging from high-tech industries to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs),” asserted Rajeeve.

He further indicated that the New Industrial Policy (NIP) has prioritized over 20 sectors, where investments from around the globe will receive comprehensive government support and safeguards.

The Invest Kerala Global Summit, set to take place in Kochi on February 21 and 22, will highlight specific domains and projects anticipated for investment.

Additionally, Kerala hosted discussions on deep tech, biotechnology, and e-governance, showcasing the state’s significant contributions to India’s deep-tech innovation, particularly in healthcare, space technology, and artificial intelligence.

At the Summit, Chief Secretary Sarada Muraleedharan stressed that Kerala's strategic global partnerships and innovative focus have established a solid foundation for growth in the deep-tech sector.

“The state is committed to developing innovative policies for sustainable growth and attracting investments. By participating in the WEF, Kerala has been able to demonstrate its capabilities in deep-tech innovation, gain international recognition, and promote collaboration,” stated Muraleedharan.
