Kelkar. The final numbers were unveiled on Friday after discussions with various political party representatives.
This updated roll is set to be officially published on February 21, and will be utilized for the upcoming Assembly elections in the state.
The initial draft rolls, released on December 23, recorded 2.54 crore voters.
During the first phase of the SIR exercise, a total of 2.78 crore forms were distributed throughout Kerala.
After thorough scrutiny, hearings, and necessary corrections, the final voter count has increased to 2.69 crore.
Among the electorate, there are 1.31 crore males and 1.38 crore females, indicating a greater number of female voters in the state.
The final voter list also encompasses 2,23,558 Pravasi (overseas) voters.
The CEO's office reported that 53,229 names were removed from the draft rolls following hearings conducted across all 140 Assembly constituencies.
Those removed include individuals who passed away during the enumeration, those who acquired foreign citizenship, voters who relocated, and cases of name duplication.
Post the draft roll publication, the Election Commission issued 36,88,948 notices for hearings.
This process has now been finalized for all cases.
Included in these were 19,32,688 voters marked as 'no mapping', whose details could not be linked to the 2002 electoral roll, and 17,56,260 voters with local discrepancies.
From October 27 last year to January 30, 2026, 13,51,151 new applications (Form 6) for electoral roll inclusion were accepted.
Additionally, 1,59,111 applications (Form 6A) from expatriates seeking registration as overseas voters were approved.
During the same period, 24,28,639 applications were processed for inclusion or deletion, and 3,93,333 forms were accepted for correcting existing entries.
With the final electoral roll now finalized, attention is directed towards ensuring efficient electoral preparations ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls.
