Kohima, July 12 (NationPress) Union Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju emphasized the necessity for ongoing peace in the northeastern states during a recent address, highlighting that lasting development in the region can only be achieved through peace.
Speaking at the Rozgar Mela at Town Hall, Dimapur, the Union Minister remarked that the prosperity of the northeast is crucial for the nation’s overall advancement.
Rijiju pointed out India’s ascending position on the global platform, crediting the nation's growing economic might.
“India is emerging as a global power, and this progression will only gain momentum if we uphold unity in purpose and commitment to our responsibilities,” he stated.
The event, part of the nationwide Rozgar Mela, featured the ceremonial distribution of appointment letters to successful candidates from various government sectors.
Senior officials from involved departments, including the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Lumding (LMG), were present to oversee the event. Rijiju congratulated the new appointees on receiving their letters, calling it a proud milestone for the youth and underscoring the true essence of government service.
“This is not merely a job; it is a duty to serve our nation,” Rijiju urged, encouraging the appointees to view their positions as significant contributions to India’s growth.
He stressed that India can only evolve when each citizen collectively contributes.
“We must all look beyond individual success and prioritize national service,” he added.
The 16th Rozgar Mela took place at 47 sites across the country, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually handing over over 51,000 appointment letters to recruits in various government bodies and organizations.
In his remarks, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to job creation and youth empowerment. The event began with welcoming comments from Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, along with the screening of a short film showcasing the initiative.
Rijiju distributed more than 30 appointment letters at the Dimapur ceremony, with senior officials from participating departments handing out the rest.
The Rozgar Mela aligns with the Indian government's broader mission to create employment and provide youth with opportunities to make meaningful contributions to the nation's advancement.
