New Delhi, July 12 (NationPress) Union Ministers on Saturday commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Rozgar Mela initiative, recognizing his efforts in enhancing job creation across the nation and solidifying India’s status as the fourth-largest economy in the world.

The 16th Rozgar Mela edition facilitated the distribution of over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals in various Central government departments and organizations via video conferencing.

Conducted simultaneously at 47 locations nationwide, the Rozgar Mela symbolizes India’s escalating economic prowess and the government’s pledge to transparent and extensive job creation.

The selected recruits will serve in departments including the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Department of Posts, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Department of Financial Services, and the Ministry of Labour and Employment.

In Jodhpur, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat extended congratulations to the newly appointed recruits, stating, "Nearly two years ago, the Prime Minister committed to filling vacant roles from about 30 lakh sanctioned positions. Over 10 lakh appointments have been completed thus far. Today's event saw 51,286 appointment letters distributed across 47 Rozgar Mela events nationwide."

"India is swiftly evolving into a manufacturing epicenter, and PM Modi's vision for Viksit Bharat is steering this transition. We are currently in the Amritkaal, with every step focused on positioning India on the global economic landscape while generating employment across various sectors," he added.

Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, present at the event in Bikaner, remarked that a majority of the appointees were selected for the Indian Railways and the postal department, adding, "I congratulate everyone on this new chapter in their careers."

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, addressing attendees from Bhubaneswar, shared that 201 appointment letters were distributed there.

"The 16th National Rozgar Mela under PM Modi's guidance employed nearly 52,000 youth. We are now recognized as the fourth-largest economy and are on track to becoming the third. Many individuals have moved above the poverty line, and our robust social security system is enhancing employment prospects," he noted.

In Karnataka's Hubballi, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi spoke to recruits, stating, "We once belonged to the fragile five economies; today, we are the world’s fourth-largest economy. This growth generates job opportunities. I encourage the youth to seize these government jobs with both hands."

Union Minister CR Patil from Vadodara expressed, "PM Modi firmly believes in timely and merit-based employment for our youth. His vision for a Viksit Bharat by 2047 is rooted in the energy and talent of India's youth."

In Sambalpur, Odisha, Union Minister Jual Oram described the Rozgar Mela as a persistent and influential initiative.

"I attended the previous event in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, and now I'm in Sambalpur. This is a nationwide movement for employment generation. Congratulations to all appointees," he stated.

Union Minister of State Sukanta Majumdar, who participated in the Rozgar Mela in West Bengal, announced, "Approximately 215 candidates received their appointment letters at Sealdah. Since 2022, this transparent and corruption-free initiative has provided permanent jobs to lakhs of individuals."

Union Minister Bhagirath Choudhary commended the initiative, saying, "The Prime Minister pledged 10 lakh jobs and has remained committed. He urged the youth to prioritize the nation and serve with integrity. Our youth are the cornerstone of a Viksit Bharat."

From Rajkot, Union MoS Nimuben Bambhaniya noted, "Today’s event showcased enthusiastic participation from the youth, selected for key roles in Railways, Postal Services, and Banking. Their zeal is testament to a New India driven by PM Modi’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas."
