New Delhi, July 12 (NationPress) In a nationwide effort to empower the youth of India, the 16th edition of the Rozgar Mela (Employment Fair) has successfully distributed over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals across 47 locations.

The initiative, initiated by the central government in 2022, continues to honor Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pledge to deliver 10 lakh government jobs, ensuring transparency and efficiency throughout the process.

Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, SP Singh Baghel, reiterated the government's commitment to youth employment during his address at the Mela venue. “The promise made by the Prime Minister is being fulfilled with complete transparency,” he remarked, emphasizing that these employment fairs not only generate jobs but also foster hope and motivation among the unemployed youth.

This round of appointments has seen 60 candidates joining the Indian Railways, 7 in the Defence sector, several in the Postal Department, 5 in banking institutions, and 22 in the Archaeological Survey of India. These placements span vital sectors of public service, reinforcing the government’s strategy to enhance institutional capacity while providing stable career paths for young professionals.

Prime Minister Modi addressed the event virtually, stating that these appointments represent more than mere job offers—they are opportunities for nation-building. He underscored the significance of ongoing skill development and encouraged the new recruits to approach their roles with dedication and a sense of public service.

The Rozgar Mela has emerged as a fundamental aspect of India’s employment strategy, with over 10 lakh appointments made to date.
