New Delhi, July 12 (NationPress) Union Minister Harsh Malhotra addressed the press at the National Media Centre during the Rozgar Mela event, underscoring the Modi government’s initiatives to revolutionize employment generation in India.
He disclosed that 210 individuals were granted appointment letters at the Delhi venue, while nationwide, 51,000 youth received job letters across 47 locations.
Since the inception of Rozgar Melas in October 2022, over 10.26 lakh youth have secured appointment letters over the last four years. This is not just a ceremonial gathering; it symbolizes the emergence of a new India,” Malhotra stated.
He highlighted that recruitments are being carried out in 13 different Indian languages to promote inclusivity. Drawing a comparison with the pre-2014 period, he noted that previous recruitment processes faced delays and corruption, with middlemen playing a dominant role.
“Today, under Prime Minister Modi’s guidance, we have witnessed a transparent, corruption-free system. No middlemen, no manipulation,” he emphasized.
Malhotra further revealed that during PM Modi’s 11-year administration, government recruitments have surged by 1.5 times compared to prior governments. He attributed this success to initiatives like PM Gati Shakti Yojana and PM Mudra Yojana, which have empowered small traders, enhanced employment, and transformed the economy.
“Over Rs 52 crore in low-interest loans have been allocated to small traders, particularly following COVID,” he noted. Regarding infrastructure growth, Malhotra said that 60,000 km of national highways have been constructed in the past year alone, a stark contrast to the 52,000 km built between 1947 and 2014.
“These initiatives have resulted in vast employment opportunities,” he added. On a wider economic scale, Malhotra pointed out that India now ranks as the world’s fourth-largest economy, surpassing Japan.
“Previous governments claimed to alleviate poverty but merely displaced the poor. In the last 11 years, over 25 crore individuals have been lifted out of poverty under PM Modi’s administration,” he asserted.
He concluded by stating that the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat by 2047' is significantly reliant on the vigor and potential of India’s youth.
