New Delhi, July 12 (NationPress) On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed candidates as part of the Centre's ongoing Rozgar Mela initiative.
The 16th installment of this significant employment drive took place simultaneously at 47 locations across the nation, including key cities like Delhi, Ajmer, Jodhpur, and Patna. This event underscores the government's unwavering commitment to offering job opportunities to the youth through a clear and efficient recruitment process.
At the National Media Centre in Delhi, beneficiaries, along with dignitaries, participated in the event virtually. In his address, PM Modi highlighted the government's commitment to youth empowerment and stressed the significance of ongoing upskilling via platforms such as Karmayogi Prarambh, an online orientation course available to all newly appointed government employees.
A substantial number of the new appointments—over 40,000—were made in various sectors of Indian Railways, including engineering, telecommunications, mechanical, electrical, and workshop services.
Other candidates secured positions in central departments, such as the Ministries of Home, Education, Finance, Health, and Communications.
One beneficiary, Ankur Dharma from Haryana, expressed gratitude, saying, “I thank PM Modi. Under his leadership, we are witnessing a transparent system, and the youth are being empowered.”
Another new appointee from Jodhpur, who was appointed at IIT Jodhpur, shared, “I feel incredibly happy and would like to thank PM Modi for establishing a transparent system.”
In Ajmer, Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Bhagirath Chaudhary, along with Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani and other dignitaries, presented appointment letters to 119 candidates. Chaudhary described the Rozgar Mela as a realization of PM Modi’s vision for youth-led development and job creation.
In Jodhpur, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat distributed appointment letters to 134 candidates selected in various sectors, including Railways, AIIMS, IIT, and Postal Services. Congratulating the candidates, Shekhawat noted that this achievement is a reflection of both individual effort and family support.
Meanwhile, in Patna, Minister Satish Chandra Dubey underscored the numerous Rozgar Melas held throughout Bihar—in Patna, Gaya, Samastipur, and Hajipur—where 109 candidates received their letters.
He emphasized that such initiatives align with the Centre's mission of fostering an 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat', with programs like Start-Up India and MUDRA empowering youth to be job creators.
The newly appointed candidates expressed their joy and appreciation, labeling the initiative a “dream come true,” while praising PM Modi’s persistent efforts in securing employment for young people in India.
The Rozgar Mela continues to symbolize the government's strategic focus on skill development and public service recruitment.
