Jammu, April 26 (NationPress) A total of 50 individuals received government job letters on Saturday during the 15th Rozgar Mela in this region, with the newly appointed employees expressing their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing them the opportunity to serve the nation.

Zahid Hussain from Baramulla, one of the new recruits, shared with IANS, “I am very excited to accept a position as an auditor from the PM. I encourage all my friends to work diligently and achieve their objectives just like I have.”

Another appointee, Gurankit Singh Behl from Rajouri, commended PM Modi’s speech directed at the new hires, expressing his happiness at receiving the letter from him.

“I want to convey my appreciation to the Central government for presenting me with this opportunity,” he stated.

In his message to fellow job seekers, he remarked: “The government aims for our progress, and the youth must remain focused to reach their aspirations.”

Gurninder Singh also felt inspired after the PM's address. “He urged us not to limit ourselves to our current status and reminded us that our future performance is what truly matters,” Singh remarked.

A wave of excitement spread throughout the nation as PM Modi distributed over 51,000 appointment letters.

The distribution occurred simultaneously at 47 locations across India through video conferencing, with events taking place in Indore, Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Patna.

The appointments cover significant ministries and departments including the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the Department of Revenue, and the Department of Higher Education.

Since its launch in October 2022, the Rozgar Mela has successfully appointed over 10 lakh individuals to permanent government positions.

During the first edition, 75,000 letters were distributed, while 71,000 were given out in the 14th edition held in December 2024.

This initiative is part of the government's wider plan to close employment gaps and empower the youth of the nation with significant opportunities.

Earlier, while addressing the candidates, PM Modi emphasized that the commitment of all new recruits will expedite India’s advancement towards becoming Viksit Bharat.

“With your new roles, you play a vital role in reinforcing India's economy, infrastructure, internal security, and the well-being of its citizens,” the Prime Minister stated.
