Patna, Sep 24 (NationPress) Former Union Minister and BJP MP R.K. Singh lamented the disjointed representation of the Kshatriya community within the political landscape and urged members of the community to exclusively support and vote for parties that provide them with candidacy opportunities in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. He also criticized his own party, the BJP, for the under-representation of Kshatriyas.
He pointed out that the Kshatriya community has faced significant challenges because it has not voted as a cohesive bloc for any political party, unlike other groups such as the Yadavs, SCs/STs, and Kushwahas. He added that the issues within the BJP were no different and expressed that he had no shame in voicing his concerns about his party.
R.K. Singh's statements are expected to stir new discussions within political circles, especially in the BJP, as they reflect his increasing dissatisfaction with being sidelined by the party's Bihar leadership.
Just a day earlier, R.K. Singh's criticism targeted party leaders, including Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and state chief Dilip Jaiswal, which caused a stir in the political arena.
When questioned about allegations of corruption made by Jan Suraaj party founder Prashant Kishor against Bihar BJP's senior leadership, he insisted that Samrat Choudhary and Dilip Jaiswal should either ‘come clean’ regarding the accusations or ‘step down’ from their roles.
His appeal to the Kshatriya community was made during his speech at the Kshatriya Kalyan Sangathan Bihar office, which he inaugurated on Tuesday.
At the event, the former Union Minister condemned corrupt officials and leaders in Bihar, urging the community to back only those parties that offer the most tickets to Kshatriya candidates in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections, even if that means supporting a party aligned with the Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan).
“Ram Vilas Paswan unified the Paswan community. Lalu Prasad Yadav united the Yadav community. Kushwaha individuals also do not vote independently; instead, they vote as a collective,” he noted.
“We have little significance in any political party. Thus, we need to unite. Everyone should recognize that if Kshatriya votes are divided, they will all consolidate their support for a single party,” he added.
R.K. Singh, who was unsuccessful in the 2024 elections for the Ara constituency, sarcastically remarked that there isn't a single Rajput representative in the BJP and expressed that he has no reservations about criticizing the party’s discriminatory stance towards Kshatriyas.
He also cautioned political parties against any attempts to marginalize the Kshatriya community.
“We will demonstrate our strength. We will deliver a lesson in the upcoming Bihar Assembly election,” he emphasized.
