The announcement was made by the BCCI on Sunday, allowing him to join the India A team for their upcoming second red-ball match against South Africa A.
The BCCI stated that this decision is intended to grant Kuldeep crucial red-ball experience in preparation for the forthcoming two-match Test series against South Africa, commencing on November 14 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, where his contributions are anticipated to be significant.
“The Indian team management has requested that Kuldeep Yadav be released from the ongoing T20I series in Australia so he can participate in the India A series against South Africa A at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru,” the statement read.

He was subsequently replaced by Washington Sundar in Sunday’s match at the Bellerive Oval, where India secured a five-wicket victory, leveling the series at 1-1.
He has now been added to the India A squad for the second match against South Africa A, scheduled at the BCCI CoE Ground on November 6. India A, under the leadership of wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, achieved a narrow three-wicket victory over South Africa A by successfully chasing down a target of 275 runs.
Kuldeep was the standout performer in India’s recent 2-0 Test series triumph over the West Indies in October, where he took 12 wickets across two matches at an impressive average of 19.50, including his best bowling figures of 5-82 in the second match held in New Delhi.
