New Delhi, Nov 18 (NationPress) The Saras Pavilion, located in Halls 8, 9, and 10, has emerged as the highlight of the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF), which is currently taking place at the Bharat Mandapam in the capital.
The pavilion is drawing attention due to the diverse range of products created by the Lakhpati Didis from different states, each showcasing their remarkable success stories fueled by dedication and skill.
Approximately 300 Lakhpati Didis are presenting their distinctive products from their respective regions at around 150 stalls within the Saras Pavilion. A notable aspect of this pavilion is the display of women-crafted artworks, handlooms, and various other items.
Stalls representing products from 31 states and Union Territories are featured at the Saras Pavilion, creating a “miniature India” that highlights the vibrant culture, art, and traditions of each region.
All the Lakhpati Didis shared their gratitude towards the government for the assistance that has empowered them and fostered self-reliance.
Alisha from Meghalaya expressed that the Lakhpati Didi scheme has provided her with an excellent opportunity for personal growth and independence.
Nirmala Ben from Gujarat stated that the IITF is a fantastic platform for her.
“I have become a Lakhpati. Now I aspire to evolve into a Crorepati Didi,” she remarked, reflecting on her experiences at the IITF 2025.
Mispi Salha, a delegate from Nagaland, noted that while she had the skills to create products, she previously lacked market access, but is now uncovering their true potential.
“We produce numerous items, but struggled to find the right connections to market them. Being here has made us aware of the significant demand for our products,” she added.
Monila, a Lakhpati Didi and stall owner from Assam, showcased her handloom creations and emphasized that this opportunity benefits not just her but her entire team. Events like this provide a platform to present our talents on a national stage.
Lakhpati Didi Babita Bhandari, who was very impressed by the trade fair, mentioned that such events enhance the confidence and dignity of many women like herself.
