Chennai, June 19 (NationPress) The creators of director Sriram Venu's emotionally charged action film 'Thammudu', starring actor Nithiin in the leading role, have recently revealed that actress Laya, who is making her return to the big screen with this project, has successfully completed her dubbing work for her segments in the movie.
Laya portrays the role of Jhansi Kiranmayee in the film.
On their X platform, Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film's production team, shared, "The vibrant voice behind a compelling character #JhansiKiranmayee. Actress #Laya has finalized dubbing for her comeback in #Thammudu. Scheduled for release in theaters on July 4th, 2025. #ThammuduOnJuly4th"
This film has generated significant buzz among viewers for various reasons.
A teaser released earlier this month indicated that Nithiin's character is a skilled archer, with the narrative focusing on the relationship between a brother and his sister, who is determined to fulfill her promise.
The setting of the story is a unique location known as Ambaragodugu, which has only one entrance or exit. This area appears to be inhabited by stern characters, suggesting that once someone enters, leaving is not an option.
The teaser suggests that Nithiin's sister and her young child are in a perilous situation, with those concerned for Nithiin's safety urging him to distance himself as much as possible.
The teaser concludes with a powerful statement from Nithiin: "You are deemed dead even if you are alive if you fail to keep your word. You are considered alive even if you are dead when you honor your promise."
In addition to Nithiin and Laya, the cast includes Sapthami Gowda, Saurabh Sachdeva, Swasika, Hari Teja, Srikanth Iyyengar, Temper Vamshi, Chammak Chandra, and Varsha Bollamma, among others.
The film is produced by Raju - Shirish, with music composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography handled by K.V Guhan, Sameer Reddy, and Setu. Editing is managed by Sh Prawin Pudi, and art direction is by G M Sekhar.
Stunt choreography for this film is the work of Vikram Mor, Real Satish, Ravi Verma, and Ram Krishan.
