According to the statement released by the ministry, the issue pertains to the construction of two T-shaped concrete separation walls in the southwest and southeast regions of the village of Yaroun, which lies within internationally recognized Lebanese borders, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
In the complaint, it is asserted that these two walls, documented by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), have resulted in the appropriation of additional Lebanese land, thereby breaching UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement established in 2024 between the two nations.
Lebanon has urged the UN Security Council and the UN Secretariat to take swift action to halt Israel’s infringement on Lebanese sovereignty, to demand the removal of the two walls, and to ensure Israel's immediate withdrawal south of the Blue Line.
