Patna, Oct 7 (NationPress) As the Bihar Assembly election dates have been revealed, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has initiated significant organizational changes in preparation for the upcoming polls.
The party has designated Jamui MP Arun Bharti as the Election In-Charge and State President Raju Tiwari as the Deputy Election In-Charge, effective immediately.
A communication from Abdul Khalik, the party's National General Secretary, indicated that these roles have been assigned under the guidance of Union Minister and Party President Chirag Paswan.
The announcement also clarified that all prior appointments regarding the election in-charge role are nullified immediately.
With these new roles, Arun Bharti and Raju Tiwari will manage all election-related duties, including the selection of candidates, campaign oversight, and strategy development.
This strategic move is perceived as a crucial organizational shift within the NDA alliance as preparations ramp up for the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections, which are scheduled to take place in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with results being declared on November 14.
Chirag Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) (LJPRV) has solidified its position as a formidable regional player in Bihar’s political arena, holding five Lok Sabha seats.
The latest reshuffle, which appoints Arun Bharti and Raju Tiwari, comes at a pivotal moment as the seat-sharing strategy within the NDA is yet to be finalized.
Sources report that the delay in establishing this formula is primarily due to Chirag Paswan’s insistence on securing a substantial number of seats for his party.
Previously, Arun Bharti stated that the LJPRV aims for a respectable allotment of seats ranging from 43 to 137 in the upcoming election.
During the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, the undivided LJP contested 137 seats independently, but secured only one, whose MLA later shifted allegiance to the JD(U).
However, the political dynamics have transformed since then.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Chirag Paswan’s LJPRV contested five seats under the NDA banner and won all five, achieving a remarkable 100 percent strike rate.
This impressive victory has significantly bolstered the party’s leverage within the NDA, establishing its critical role in the seat-sharing discussions for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
