Mumbai, Feb 13 (NationPress) Madhur Bhushan, the sister of the iconic actress Madhubala, has voiced her disappointment with Sony Pictures regarding the sluggish advancement of her biopic. In an exclusive interview with IANS, Madhur Bhushan remarked, "They (Sony Pictures) are taking an excessive amount of time for this. We're uncertain if there are obstacles or issues in the production of this biopic. It's been over one and a half years. We are waiting indefinitely. There appears to be no feedback from their end. They were very eager to produce it, but I'm not sure what has transpired since then.”

She further added, “They are wonderful individuals, but sometimes it pains us. Time is slipping away. It's literally being wasted. I believe that if they take some action regarding it, we would be very pleased. Ultimately, it rests on their shoulders.”

When inquired if there had been any correspondence from their side in the past one and a half years, Madhur Bhushan responded, "No, there has been no correspondence. We are unaware of what has occurred. We cannot interfere in anyone's affairs. Perhaps some of their staff resigned. Possibly there have been numerous obstacles. Their operations are split between India and LA. Such situations arise in large corporations. I entrust it to God and them. Please expedite the film.”

When asked if she had conversed with any Bollywood producer about Madhubala's biopic, considering many would be keen to take on the project, Madhur Bhushan stated, "There are numerous individuals interested in producing a film on Madhubala Ji. However, we have made a commitment to Sony Pictures. Thus, we are waiting for them.”

For those unfamiliar, Madhubala was a celebrated actress in Hindi cinema, reigning over the industry during the forties and fifties.
