Sundar C: I Never Expected to Encounter Vishal Again

Chennai, Jan 7 (NationPress) Director Sundar C, whose long-anticipated film Madha Gaja Raja is set to premiere on January 12 after a lengthy wait of over a decade, has revealed that the special relationship he now enjoys with the film's lead actor Vishal actually started with a dispute.

During a promotional event for the film, Sundar C, clearly touched by Vishal's dedication to attend the promotions despite suffering from a high fever, stated, 'The story of how we became friends is quite remarkable. Initially, I didn't know Vishal personally, but Vishal and my wife Khushbu share a strong friendship. So, on one occasion, we decided to approach him for a script and contacted him through his production team to schedule a meeting.'

'When my assistant writer and I arrived at the scheduled time, we noticed him heading in the opposite direction just five minutes before our meeting. My assistant pointed this out, but I dismissed it, thinking he might have confused someone else for Vishal. However, upon reaching Vishal's office and realizing it was indeed him who had just left, I felt a surge of anger. That night, I vented my frustrations to my wife Khushbu about Vishal's absence at the meeting. She offered to speak to him for me, but I declined her offer.

'Two months later, I found myself at an event honoring veteran actress M N Rajam. Vishal entered the venue, and I was still seething with anger. I had vowed not to even glance in his direction, so I intentionally looked away. Yet, this genuinely kind person made his way through the crowd, took my hands, and said, 'Sorry.' It was then that I learned he had to leave suddenly due to a medical emergency involving someone close to him.'

'After getting to know him, I realized he is truly a wonderful person. I have collaborated with many heroes in the industry. I always regard Karthik sir as my elder brother, and I would say Vishal is like my younger brother.'
