Chennai, Jan 18 (NationPress) Director Sundar C is overjoyed that his film Madha Gaja Raja has become a resounding success. He expressed that all he can offer in gratitude to the audience who have made this film a hit, despite its release being delayed by 12 years, are tears of joy and heartfelt appreciation.

“I have never held a success meet for any of my films. Typically, I move on to my next project after a film does well. However, this one is particularly special. Before the release, many were doubtful, questioning what this film could achieve after 12 years,” Sundar C stated, thanking the audience whom he regards as his divine support.

“I believed this film would succeed, but not to this extent. My only return is my gratitude and tears for the success they have blessed me with,” he added.

The director also took a moment to appreciate his cast and crew, revealing that actress Varalaxmi joined the project at the last minute to support the team.

“At the very last moment, Varu joined us. Initially, another actress was set to portray her character. We had traveled to Karaikudi for filming when the originally scheduled actress encountered a date conflict and couldn’t arrive until a week later. We couldn’t halt production due to the necessity of combination scenes, so we reached out to Varu, who graciously accepted. Thanks to Varalaxmi,” said Sundar C.

He also praised actor Vishal, the film's lead.

Referring to Vishal as his younger brother, Sundar C mentioned, “He has endured a lot for this film without outside acknowledgment. One day, his driver alerted me, saying, ‘Vishal has collapsed.’ I rushed to his vehicle, and he was lying unconscious. He truly put in tremendous effort. We faced numerous challenges while making this movie. I am incredibly pleased that for all the hard work and dedication Vishal invested, God and the audience have rewarded us with this success. This film demonstrates that sincere work yields divine and public recognition.”
