Vishal Shows Dedication at Madha Gaja Raja Press Conference Amid High Fever; Gains Admiration

Mumbai, Jan 6 (NationPress) Actor Vishal, who takes the lead role in director Sundar C's long-anticipated comedy entertainer Madha Gaja Raja, won the hearts of audiences and fans by appearing for a media session even while suffering from a serious viral fever.
Despite his hands visibly shaking throughout the event and looking significantly weaker than usual, Vishal shared insights about his experience working on the film, which has been in the making for nearly 12 years.
This comedy entertainer, which promises both action and humor, is set to be released on January 12, coinciding with the harvest festival of Pongal.
During a conversation with DD, music director Vijay Antony and Sundar C on Sunday night, Vishal stated, “Just as the Kurinji Poo (the Kurinji flower) blooms once every twelve years, Madha Gaja Raja will feel fresh after 12 years. I can assure you that when the film premieres on January 12, no one will leave the theaters without laughing. It’s a festive film that was initially supposed to release years ago during Pongal, and now it’s finally happening.”
The actor humorously added that he was confident he would win an award for best singer, regardless of whether he received accolades for best actor.
Detailing the amusing circumstances that led to him singing a song that became a sensation, Vishal remarked, “I believe that this January, whether I win the best actor award or not, I’ll definitely secure an award for best singer, thanks to music director Vijay Antony.
“The way it all unfolded was quite funny. Vijay Antony and Sundar C were debating who should sing a specific song, searching for a unique voice. They were looking for someone who could sing but wouldn’t sing again. At that moment, I walked in, and they both instantly decided I would be the one to sing,” he shared with a chuckle.
Vishal, who has been friends with music director Vijay Antony since their college days, reminisced, “We started composing music together back in our hostel. I would narrate a scene to Raja (Vijay Antony), and he would create a melody right then. He has faced numerous challenges to reach this point, but I always believed in his talent.”
Following the event, clips of Vishal quickly went viral on social media. Many fans, unaware of his viral fever, were concerned about his health as he appeared to be shivering on stage. However, once they learned he had attended the event while suffering from a high temperature, they began to praise his dedication.
Directed by Sundar C, Madha Gaja Raja is produced by Gemini Film Circuit and features Vishal, Anjali, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in leading roles. Actors Santhanam and Sonu Sood play significant roles in the film, which began production in 2012 and was completed in 2013. The film has remained unreleased for over a decade due to financial issues, but the makers have finally found a way to bring it to the audience.
